To overtake Toyota by 2015 means VW has to convince a great many people their products are worth buying. However, design and execution are two different things, especially to VW. Taken in context their plans are nothing more than warm, moist, hydrogen sulphide-laden gas wafting out of Wolfsburg.

Life is full of sarcasm: the folks who were bellyaching about floor mats recall for Toyota are admitting that head lights are not that big of a deal. I doubt that headlights are big deal (as well as floor mats). I also doubt that WV has a prayer in overtaking anything or anybody. The basic mistake: they don’t know who the enemy is (hint: it is not Toyota).

As for VW overtaking toyota, I see that as a great possibility. Since the early 90’s they have turned around their company and have been on a roll. Not to far fetched, just funny coming from someone with the name CTS driver . . . . . whose car company won’t be overtaking aything in the near future but a graveyard!!!!

Oh please… This isn’t even a recall due to a defective part. It’s simply because a little plastic cap may not have been installed that is put there to prevent people from adjusting the horizontal aim of the headlight. It’s just an idiot cap that may have been put in the wrong spot (in the vertical aim hole instead of the horizontal aim hole).

The money would be better spent educating drivers how to aim their headlights, since I see many cars every day that have their headlights aimed way too high.
