The Volkswagen Passat CC isn’t slated to hit the U.S. market until this fall, but VW wants to make sure that we haven’t forgotten about the sleek four-door sedan it debut at this year’s Detroit Auto Show. So while there still maybe an ongoing debate about what name the vehicle will actually wear when it hits the market, at least we have a fresh batch of pictures of the four-door coupe.
An earlier report indicated that Volkswagen would market the Passat CC as the CC, but the latest press release still refers to the vehicle as the Passat CC. However, the latest press release is for the European market, so there is still the chance that the car will be called the CC in the U.S.

At any rate, VW has also released some new info on the car. Three different versions of the Passat CC will be available when it hits the European market — the Passat CC TDI, Passat CC TSI and Passat CC V6 4Motion. Of the bunch, the Passat CC V6 4Motion seems the most intriguing. The V6 4Motion package includes a 300 PS (296 horsepower) V6 engine, all-wheel drive and VW’s DSG gearbox.

The Passat CC range will also include VW’s Lane Assist and adaptive chassis control, making the Passat CC the first Volkswagen with lane-keeping assistant and adaptive chassis control.
