NEW FUTURE MARKET
  • VW sues OC Lamborghini for “outright theft” of 54 vehicles

    By Drew Johnson

Orange County Lamborghini – the country’s largest Lamborghini by volume – mysteriously closed its doors late last year, but a new court document seems to shed a little more light on the situation. Per the court filed document, OC Lamborghini committed the “outright theft” of 54 Lamborghini vehicles.
The lawsuit – which was filed by Volkswagen Credit – claims that OC Lamborghini essentially stole $12 million worth of vehicles by unloading them at heavily discounted prices. VW Credit says OC Lamborghini sold 54 vehicles in just eight days, representing 8 percent of Lamborghini’s total U.S. sales for 2008, according to the OC Register.

OC Lamborghini purchased the vehicles through VW Credit, but the financing company says it never received payment for the cars. Volkswagen owns Lamborghini.

OC Lamborghini owner Vik Keuylian is in even more hot water for shady business practices, including a $3 million lawsuit filed by East-West Bank. The lawsuit claims OC Lamborghini and Keuylian defaulted on a loan by failing to make payments in November and December.

Stephen Cloobeck, owner of Diamond Resorts, is also suing Keuylian for $340,000 – the amount he says he is owed for the trade-in of his Lamborghini Murcielago. “They took the car but never gave me the check,” he said.

The lawsuit is definitely a black eye for Lamborghini and VW, but Volkswagen needs to remain focused on opening another Lamborghini dealership in the Los Angeles area. Southern California is one of Lamborghini’s largest markets, and the area is currently operating without a Lamborghini sales or service center.

I wanna sue California and Florida for the outright theft of $700B in taxpayer money to pay for the overpriced crap houses they sold there and all the added “equity mortgage debt” that we responsible people have to pay now so those frakkheads can drive benzes they have no business owning.

I know Mr. Vik Keuylian, he’s a crook, me and my collages know it was a matter of time he was going to screw over VW, he screwed over his old Dodge and Mitsubishi dealer 10 years ago. Sold the Franchises and lots and they where not even his yet, he settled with them after, but still, he made a killing. And as for those dealers they are both closed…

It’ll be interesting to see what happens when VW shows up with a flatbed and a sheriff to start repoing the Lambos in question. If you buy a car from someone who can’t legally transfer title to you (what VW is calling “stolen” cars), you’re SOL if the actual title holder wants the car back.

      I can hear it now

“I went out to buy a Cobalt and saw a Gallardo on sale for $18,000, I didn’t think anything of it when I got 90% off the stickerprice”

Oh man, I’m drooling just thinking of seeing a Gallardo in the garage instead of the 6-year old TT coupe. No way will I ever have one unless I win the Powerball / Lotto, or find out what that #$^%er Madoff did with the $50 BILLION that he stole..

f you think that the lawsuit is some bad press, wait until you get the sheriff and flatbed into brentwood…..

OC lambo has been in trouble for years now…it’s a matter of time court puts them behind bars for all the theft schemes they’ve been running. Good luck VW!

      miket,

They will go after those buyers. Maybe they will offer them a settlement or something, but they’ll take the Lambo’s back if they feel they can’t get the money from the OC Dealership.

“Southern California is one of Lamborghini’s largest markets, and the area is currently operating without a Lamborghini sales or service center.” Whoa, that will depress real estate values more than the credit crises!

The crooks and liars are running amok down there eh my US brothers? We got lots up here but boy I’ve never seen the US so rife with swindlers and scam artists taking the money and running out of town(or to their penthouse to mail off jewelry to family members) – helps none when many representing “we the people” at the highest office are at the top of the pile o shi*bags. Greed is good, yeah for the few of course.
Refuse to pay your taxes, stand up to all this SH*T!!

And yes, that blue is frickin great!

VW Credit will have to submit a claim against OC Lambo’s dealer surety bond. As far as the folks that purchased the cars they will be considered innocent 3rd parties by the State of California in this instance. The only way VW Credit could take away a car they purchased in good faith would be if VW Credit could prove conspiracy to commit fraud on the part of the purchaser.

      sequoiatrader,

It all depends on how much the disscounts were, it would be easy to prove that those purchased it did so in a way to commit fraud if they were discounted, per say, by 75%. They also could have been purchased by family and friends, so it is likely they will be taken back if these are true.

Is it just me or do these to points in an essence contradict each other? Let’s put it this way, if you sell something so great as the Lamborghini at such great discounted prices then the end result will be a large sales-market of the product…. right? OF COURSE THAT THE FLO-CAL AREA IS THE LARGEST SALES VOL FOR LAMBO!!! THEY’VE BEEN GETTING THEIR CARS AT HEAVILY DISCOUNTED PRICES!!!! Giving more people the opportunity to afford them… open up a new one now, it’ll be a whole new story… think about it.
