Volkswagen has announced that it will build its Up minicar in India. Set to begin production as early as 2011, VW will make and market a four-door hatchback version of the Up in India. Inside sources say that VW is targeting a price of under $7,500 for the Up.
VW also revealed that the Up would be built in three different markets of the world starting in 2010, but failed to name any other locations. VW is currently in talks with India’s Bajaj Auto to help co-develop the car.
At least one version of the Up is U.S.-bound.

Bajaj to me is the absolute worst thing that is still on the road today. Their 3 wheeled models created many problems with other road users and the environment.

The navigation voice will say “thankyou come again” But jokes aside, I like indians, they are cool people, and whats good about them is when they come to this country they don’t complain and demand us to bend over backwards for them like some ethnic groups do. Indians come here and they work, they go to school and become doctors and engineers. You don’t have to feel afraid walking into an indian neighbourhood. Whenever you watch the news about a murder or a robbery you never see an Indian guys face as the suspect.

I agree with Moto – Indians are cool, good humored, and hard working. On top of that, hot-looking Indian chicks are incredible. Still, even though I like the accent, it’s an easy one to fake and have fun with.
And I do wish that when I call an outsourced customer support line and I get an Indian on the line that they would give a shortened version of their real name and not say “Hillo ..dissizDavid” or “dissizBrrritney.”
Just say “dissizRaja” and I’m cool with that, okay David?
