Who gets cloth on an A4? Who doesn't get quattro? Even the A3 is a glorified (a very well done) Golf. The Golf should be nothing more than the German take on a 16-22k Civic. The Jetta should be either its 4 door+trunk brother to the Golf like the proper Bora or it should be a CHEAP pre-3series glory car as it has always been thought of. The new Jetta is a boaty mess, the golf is silly (mostly), I want a GTI. I'd give a kidney for a 25k 4motion GTI, who needs an A3. this is the best idea i’ve heard from the VW group in a while. They have a huge problem with prices. i'm still skeptical on how they're going to cost cut when their jetta can be as expensive as $30K. Cud by a toyota avalon or nissan maxima. only way to make it cheaper is perhaps they can build a plant over in USA so they don't have to pay tariff. then again I can only confirm that japanese automakers are tarriff i'm not sure about germanautomakers. their models are always expensive compare to their japanese counterpart.
