What every SUV needs: a shotgun turret [VIDEO]

08/07/2006, 6:29 PM

By admin

Weapons systems maker More Industries has created a turret that can be mounted on the roof of a regular vehicle and operated by the vehicle’s occupants or from a remote location. For a demonstration, the firm fitted a turret with two 12 gage shotguns to the roof of an SUV. Such a system could be used to breach a door or gate, expose a hidden device, destroy a roadside bomb, and more. After the jump is a video of the system. Watch closely and see how the operator makes minor adjustments to accurately hit different targets…

Yeah that’s what my car needs! I’ll show that H1 next door what my taurus’s power is like! YAHHHHHH!
Yeah right…(luckily I don’t own a Taurus but that would be hilarious) Of course these won’t be sold to your average consumer, not the public. LMHO if Taurus kicked the crap out of H1 with one of these.

Hey Anonymous – grow some balls will ya, this IS automotive news.

In fact, this is GREAT automotive news.

Especially for us fed-up South African minorities. (Opposite meaning to ‘minorities’ in USA)

I can see it now – me in my Focus, gunning down Claremont Main Road on a Saturday morning, nothing but minivans littering the roads, some asshole cuts me off and grinds to a halt…

You pull out, drive on and set the sights for 6 o’clock, and wreck the living **** outta his van while tearing away at speed.

Of course, I would forfeit the shotguns for something a bit less archaic and rather spec a small DU motorised cannon! A minigun :)

Or even a pneumatic potato launcher he he he he…
