Germany’s Auto Motor und Sport magazine has a computer rendering of what it says is the 2007 BMW X5. Although AMS is sometimes noted for its imaginative rather than factual renderings, we suspect this one could be telling. The new X5 will likely be unveiled late this year, and available in spring 2007. With that in mind, we’re sure many folks ‘in the know’ have already seen the car. The Leftlane Perspective: We’ve never really been fans of the “chrome strip through the taillights/trunk” design theme. BMW did it on the current 7-Series, and Volvo more or less did it with the 2007 S80. An no, we don’t like the chrome lip on the 2007 Infiniti G35, either. We love chrome, but these applications don’t look good.
