By grill, lights etc. Porsche found out the hard way that the 944/928/968 had difficulty in being recognized as Porsches because they did not have the classic 911 looks. Yes they sold well but to a lay person it was hard to see the family resemblance between a 944 and a 911. This is why the new crop of cars all share the Porsche-ess front end.
