Actually 2007 XC90's are going into production with this engine and will be on the market before summer's end. With variable lift valvetrains and compact design, this is a beautiful powerplant. That straight six was making about 25 mpg highway 275hp/275 torque by the end of its run. With modern technology and programming they could probably give it 30 mpg highway and 290hp.
