YES FOLKS WE HAVE A WINNER!!!!!I own a Mercedes 500SL, After I saw the Challenger in Detroit, I told the My local Dealer Gary Matthews Motors, of Clarksville, Tn if made order me one, He is now just awaiting production.This will truly be the one to get.

Well I don’t care if it was or wasn’t a publicity stunt. just so long as they don’t make the challenger into another one of their ugly Ghetto-mobiles.

It is quite true they’re doing well this year, even without rapper endorsements, people do seem quite fond of the challenger, and at least the detroit new consumer panel is fond of the imperial as well.
Maybe I’m just too skeptical, but it still feels fishy to me, largely because it seems the news is coming from chrysler themselves. Maybe they’re trying to make sure the Camaro isn’t stealing too much of their thunder? You never can have too much attention for a car like that. And I also could be wrong (I really think there’s maybe a 30% chance I’m right, realistically thinking)
I’m sure it’s only a matter of time before the pics are up somewhere, and then we’ll, uh, know more about the situation…yeah…

they dont need a publicity stunt, peter… if you havent noticed the challenger is already on the cover of everything… i have 4 different magazines from this month with the challenger on the cover…
only way to prove it is to find the pics… heh…

This smells like a publicity stunt to me, it’s awfully convinient for grabbing more attention for the Challenger concept car.
I got the same feeling the last two years when a rapper convineintly called up Dieter (because they had his phone # lying around) to praise his companies work on the new 300 and then the Charger. All DCX had to do was issue a press release about this thing that happened, and then everyone in the automotive press starts talking about thier car.
That’s my hypothesis at least…
