Translation: You worry about saving the enviorment and energy so I can be a glutton. Any savings in oil demand/prices we get becuase your car gets 40 MPG miles to the gallon is great becuase It makes gas cheaper for me to burn at less than 20MPG.

Finally, NW-Mike, global warming and ozone delpetion are two different issues, regardless if you think they are fantasy or not. I’ve never heard anyone claim that ozone depletion is realted to auto emissions, except for leaky air conditioners. People who do not care about cars should not drive v-8 body on frame SUVs when the bastards could get by with a much lighter and livable car.
