Former video game company executive Stefan Eriksson has lost another exotic car. First, one of his two Ferrari Enzos were destroyed in a mysterious crash in February. On Sunday, his Mercedes-Benz SLR was confiscated by law enforcement in Beverly Hills because British authorities claimed it could be stolen. The car still had a European license plate, and had been imported by Eriksson to the U.S. Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Sgt. Phil Brooks said that an unidentified financial institution claims to own the Mercedes and another institution in Scotland says it was the owner of the Enzo. “He brought in through San Diego two Ferraris and the Mercedes and said they were show cars and that he was not going to drive them on the streets,” Brooks said. The car was being driven by Eriksson’s wife, Nicole Persson. Spyder Dobrofsky, a 13-year-old car enthusiast, happened to be at the scene of the traffic stop and filmed the incident. On the tape, Spyder asks the tow truck operator where he’s taking the car. The man jokes: “To my house.” The Leftlane Perspective: Eriksson’s wife must not have realized the car has a top speed of 200 mph and can go from 0 to 60 mph in 3.8 seconds.

This man is a thief, liar and criminal.
But he’s got good taste in cars.
Note to self: crime does pay.

Did anybody else make the connection between this SLR and the SLR that was being raced against the Enzo when it was wrecked? I suspect they are one & the same.
Has anyone heard the results on the Enzo investigation / DNA testing?

Do we know if Freddie is coming for sure? I’m not sure if his heart is in it. He’s like that care bear that lost it’s symbol. The other carebears need to join together and restore the love in his carebear heart. – Alah, 30/03/06
