New (fake) images of the 2007 BMW 3-Series coupe

Much to the disappointment of BMW fans around the world, the 2007 BMW 3-Series Coupe did not break cover at the Geneva Motor Show last week. BMW likely chose to delay the launch of the highly-anticipated coupe in an effort not to steal the show from the new Z4 Coupe lineup. Today, spy photographer and Photoshop artist Hans G Lehman released three new images purportedly showing an undisguised 3-Series Coupe in testing. However, Leftlane has learned these images are not authentic. Like many recent "spy photos" by Lehman (and others) published by fan sites like WCF and MPH, today's images are retouched spy photos. That means that a graphics artists used a software package to superimpose computer-generated headlights and taillights on a camouflaged car. We've seen the original spy shots, and therefore are reasonably certain that these images are fake. For a better idea of what the front and rear will look like, click here.
