Bentley not working on SUV

Bentley is not working on or planning an SUV, according to public relations manager David P. Reuter. "We absolutely continue to stand by what we said at lunch. Bentley Motors is the maker of powerful, luxurious, grand touring motor cars and an SUV simply does not fit with our model lineup," Reuter told Winding Road magazine. "We have no intention of producing the vehicle described in these reports." Reuter was referring to a flurry of rumors in recent weeks indicating an SUV was under development. In January, Motor Trend said Volkswagen-owned Bentley scrapped plans for an SUV. Lamborghini -- also owned by VW -- is said to have scrapped plans for its SUV, too. [photo source]
