Aston Martin DBS sold out for 5 years

The Aston Martin DBS has sold out for the next five years, a new report finds. Aston Martin has reportedly received 1,500 orders for the new DBS. According to Aston Martin, the company plans to produce 300 examples of the DBS a year, which equates to a five year waiting list.

In an interview with AutoCar, Aston Martin CEO Ulrich Bez said that the automaker is exploring ways to increase production in order to keep customers happy and from buying a car from a competing marque.

The backup in production could also delay future products. Production of the upcoming four-door Rapide -- which is scheduled to bow in 2009 or 2010 -- might have to outsourced in order to keep up with its production schedule. It's also possible that the Vanquish replacement will be delayed due to the high volume of DBS orders.
