SEMA Live: Two track-minded Mazda MX-5s

Mazda has unveiled two new version of its iconic MX-5 Miata at the 2010 SEMA Show in Las Vegas.

Mazda has taken the wraps off two new Miata MX-5 models at the SEMA Show in Las Vegas. Both models were designed with track-day performance in mind.

Mazda MX-5 Super20
The Mazda MX-5 Super20 looks far more sinister than its production counterpart, thanks to wider wheel flares, 16-inch wheels with performance rubber and gray, black and orange paint scheme. The color pattern continues to the car's interior, which has also been designed with racing in mind.

Underhood the MX-5 Super20 features a supercharged Cosworth engine, although no performance figures were released.

Mazda MX-5 Cup
The Mazda MX-5 Cup is a track only car designed for the racing series bearing the name. The MX-5 Cup tips the scales at just under 2,600 pounds, with a 195 horsepower four-cylinder providing motivation. To conform to racing rules, the MX-5 is essentially stock, save for a cold air intake, upgraded suspension and, most notably, a full roll cage.
