Three new option packages join the 'Stang lineup for 2018.

Ford is having a difficult time keeping the updated 2018 Mustang under wraps. The most recent leak reveals the option packages that buyers will be able to choose from.New for the 2018 model year is the EcoBoost Performance Package. It adds 19-inch alloy wheels painted black, a specific rear spoiler, and aluminum trim on the dashboard. It also brings a larger radiator, a bigger rear sway bar, and unique chassis tuning.

Only cars equipped with the EcoBoost engine are eligible to receive the EcoBoost Performance Package. For V8 aficionados, the GT Performance Package turns the dial up to 11 with a unique front splitter, six-piston Brembo calipers up front with bigger rotors, additional braces, heavy-duty front springs, and a larger radiator.

It doesn't take a high degree of perspicacity to figure out the Black Accent Package. It brings black 19-inch alloys, a black spoiler, and black emblems all around. The brochure notes it's only available on cars equipped with a black roof.

Finally, the Carbon Sport Interior includes carbon fiber trim on the dashboard and a carbon fiber shift knob. It also adds Alcantara door inserts, and leather-upholstery seats.

The EcoBoost Premium Pony and EcoBoost Wheels and Stripes packages carry over from the 2017 model.

Ford will release full information -- including pricing -- about the 2018 Mustang a few days before the car's on-sale date, which is still a few months away. Of course, if more information leaks in the coming weeks we won't have anything left to learn when an official press release is sent out.
