Peugeot previews stylish retro e-Legend EV concept

All-electric and fully autonomous, the concept will be officially revealed at the Paris Motor Show.

Peugeot has previewed the e-Legend, an all-electric concept car with retro styling and full autonomous capabilities.

Despite its classic looks, the e-Legend features four driving modes split between autonomous and manual. 'Soft' autonomous operation focuses on occupant comfort with projection on digital screens and information displays kept to a minimum. 'Sharp' provides maximum connectivity for digital activities such as social networking or managing calendars.

In manual operation, 'Legend' is a cruising mode that features a digital dashboard inspired by the 504 Coupe's three dials. Other screens show a digital-created wood effect. In 'Boost,' driving dynamics and performance take center stage with a projection of the road on a 49-inch display.

The car's electric drivetrain is powered by a 100-kWh battery pack and boasts 456 horsepower and 590 pound-feet of torque sent to all four wheels. Peugeot claims a zero-to-62 mph sprint in less than four seconds and a maximum speed of 136 mph, with a range of 373 miles according to the WLTP protocol.

The e-Legend concept will make its first public appearance later this year in Paris.
