New Burger King ad campaign features cars crashing into their stores

The ads depict actual accidents involving the fast food chain's franchises.

Burger King has unveiled a new ad campaign that prominently feature wrecked cars at their stores.

Appropriately named "Crashes," the campaign has five ads depicting various cars with their noses stuffed into Burger King franchises. These are actual crashes involving stores, but the fast food chain says that none resulted in serious injuries.

The campaign promotes a new service in partnership with DoorDash, a third-party food delivery app that delivers Burger King's menu items to your house. The tagline reads, "Leave it to us: Burger King delivery via DoorDash."

"Store front car crashes are more common than one might think, with a recent uptick in incidents due to more distracted drivers," Burger King said in a press release. "Smartphones are the most likely culprit, but what about Whopper sandwich cravings?”

The campaign, developed by LOLA MullenLowe, follows last year's award-winning "Flame grilled since 1954" ads. Those featured photos of Burger King stores going up in flames. It's refreshing to see a multinational chain have a good sense of humor.
