Audi will show off its all-new A8 in LA.

Audi has announced that its all-new 2019 A8 flagship sedan will be making its North American debut at next week's Los Angeles auto show. Audi heralds the 2019 A8 as ushering in a new level of artificial intelligence as well as a new design language for the brand.

Unveiled earlier this year at the Frankfurt Motor Show, the A8's LA introduction will mark the sedan's first public appearance in the United States. Show-goers will be treated to a new sedan that previews the future for all other Audi vehicles.

The 2019 A8 features several new innovations for Audi. The big sedan uses HD Matrix LED headlights and full-width rear taillamps with OLED technology, continuing Audi's leadership when it comes to lighting technology. The A8 will also use a new version of Audi's MMI infotainment system that boasts a touchscreen interface with haptic feedback.

Audi says that the 2019 A8 will meet the criteria of a level 3 autonomous vehicle, meaning it will be able to drive itself during certain driving situations. The A8 will also come with autonomous parking capabilities.

Power will come from a 3.0L turbocharged V6, although other engines will eventually be offered under the hood of the A8. All A8 models will come fitted with a new 48-volt mild-hybrid system to boost overall economy.

Despite debuting this month, the new A8 isn't scheduled to land in U.S. showrooms until late 2019. Pricing will be announced closer to the car's market introduction.
