Audi TT gets fresh face, more standard equipment for 2019by Justin King
The revised exterior is billed as more masculine, more progressive and even sportier than before.
Audi has revealed the 2019 TT, refreshing the third-generation model as the car celebrates its 20th anniversary.
The TT's design language has been updated, aiming to achieve a more masculine and sporty look than the outgoing model. The front end features a three-dimensional Singleframe grille, while side air inlets can be found on all variants.
The newly designed S-line exterior package adds a full-length front splitter, vertical air inlets, a titanium-black grille and wide rear diffuser with vertical air inlets below the rear lights.
Audi says the updated TT will feature "higher-powered engines," though specific output details remain unclear.
Buyers will be treated to a longer list of standard equipment including sport seats, a 12.3-inch virtual cockpit display, Audi's drive select dynamic handling system and multifunction steering wheel plus.
The new TT will arrive first in Europe in the fourth quarter of 2018 before expanding to other countries.
