BMW prices 2019 X5by Drew Johnson
The new X5 will be a little more expensive across the board.
BMW has announced pricing for its all-new 2019 X5 Sports Activity Vehicle. The fourth-generation of BMW's large SUV is set to land in dealer showrooms later this year.
Pricing for the all-new X5 will start from $60,700 for the entry-level xDrive40i model. That represents a sharp increase over the current X5 entry-level model — the $57,200 sDrive35i — but the new model comes standard with all-wheel drive while the outgoing one is rear-wheel drive. In a more apples-to-apples comparison, the 2019 X5 xDrive40i is $1,200 more than the 2018 X5 xDrive35i.
Stepping up to the V8-powered 2019 X5 xDrive50i will require at least $75,750. That's $1,700 more than last year's xDrive50i. All prices exclude a $995 destination charge.
You do at least get more for your money with the 2019 X5. Standard equipment includes Dynamic Damper Control, BMW Live Cockpit Professional with navigation, two 12.3-inch digital displays, Adaptive Full LED headlamps, Active Blind Spot Detection, Frontal Collision Warning with City Collision Mitigation and a panoramic sunroof.
The 2019 BMW X5 officially goes on sale on November 10.
