BMW readying M2 Competition for Beijing?

The upgraded M2 is expected to get 410 horsepower and 370 pound-feet of torque.

BMW is reportedly preparing to reveal the new M2 Competition next month in Beijing.

The upgraded M2 is said to bring a significant jump in engine output, jumping to 410 horsepower and 370 pound-feet of torque, according to German outlet BimmerToday.

The basic M2 currently boasts 365 ponies and 343 pound-feet of torque, good for a zero-to-60 mph benchmark of 4.1 seconds and a top speed of 168 mph.

The Competition package is said to include unique bodywork to better distinguish the car from its lesser 2-Series counterparts, with new wheels and color choices.

Full details are expected to be announced in a few weeks.
