The Secret Service's new 'Beast' limousine has apparently entered service as President Trump arrives in New York City for the United Nations General Assembly.

The Cadillac-badged armored limo has been under development since 2014, fulfilling a $16 million contract with General Motors to replace the previous model that arrived under Obama's term.

Specific details surrounding the Beast's configuration remain classified, though it is believed to ride on a truck frame with enough armor to protect the president from mines and other explosive devices. The vehicle presumably maintains a controlled interior environment to isolate the passengers from biological, chemical and nuclear threats.

If the Beast's protection systems fail, the limo is said to include a life support system and even blood reserves.
