The 2014 Corvette Stingray finally has a price tag.

Chevrolet has announced pricing for its 2014 Corvette Stingray coupe and convertible. Chevrolet's latest C7 Corvette is scheduled to find its way to dealer showrooms during the second half of the year.

Prices for the 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray coupe will start from $51,995, with the convertible version of the sports car commanding $56,995. Both prices include a $995 destination fee.

Those prices reflects a $1,400 price bump over the outgoing C6 model, but the 2014 Corvette does offer a lot more bang for the buck. The new Stingray features a more powerful 6.2L V8, a lighter aluminum frame and a much improved interior.

The Corvette Stingray will be available with a number of performance appearance packages, including an $8,005 leather interior package and a $2,800 Z51 Performance Package. Check every option box the and Stingray's price will top out at $73,360. Although expensive compared to a Malibu, the Corvette Stingray is still a screaming deal compared to other performance cars like the Porsche 911 and Nissan GT-R.

"The 2014 Corvette Stingray perfectly embodies Chevrolet's mission to deliver more than expected for our customers," said Chris Perry, vice president, Chevrolet marketing. "The Corvette Stingray delivers a combination of performance, design and technology that very few manufacturers can match, and none can even come close for $52,000."
