Subaru is celebrating 50 years in the United States.
Subaru unveiled its new 50th Anniversary commemorative lineup in Chicago, celebrating a half century in the United States with a limited run of special-edition models.
Each model gets a slightly different touch, but they all have quite a bit in common. They're all finished in "Heritage Blue," for starters, and each is based on an upper-trim model, meaning they'll be fairly content-rich.
Mainstream cars will get unique alloy wheels, satin chrome side mirrors and blach upholstery with silver contrast stitching and silver seatbelts. BRZ, WRX and STI skip the unique alloys in favor of their sportier original-equipment offerings.
Finishing them off will be special exterior badges denoting them as 50th-anniversary models.
The total run comprises 6,300 vehicles. Of them, only 1,050 will be enthusiast-oriented models (600 units of WRX, 200 of STI and 250 of BRZ). Mainstream models will get larger runs (1,050 each of Crosstrek, Forester, Impreza, Legacy and Outback).
