The package bridges the gap between the Level 1 Performance Pack and the GT350.

Ford has detailed the Mustang GT's new Performance Pack Level 2, bridging the gap between the Level 1 upgrades and the GT350 edition.The Level 2 variant is distinguished by a lower ride height and a new front splitter and rear spoiler, all contributing to increase downforce for improved cornering on the track.

Engineers have developed new split-fitment 19-inch wheels -- 19x10.5 inches up front and 19x11 in the rear -- shroud in sticky Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 rubber. The tires are 1.5 inches wider than those of the Level 1 package.

The Mustang's MagneRide dampers and steering calibration have been retuned improved response. Other chassis tweaks include a stiffer front and rear stabilizer bar and increased spring rates.

"The car has lightning-quick response and never gives up grip," says Ford's supervisor for vehicle dynamics development, Jamie Cullen.
