The Bullitt edition commands a nearly $12,000 premium over the standard Mustang GT.
Engineers borrowed the Shelby GT350's air intake and manifold, paired with a larger 87mm throttle body and a retuned ECU. Output has consequently bumped to 480 horsepower.
The modest 20-horsepower increase over the standard Mustang GT helps nudge the Bullitt to a top speed of 163 mph, up by 8 mph.
The package also features the GT Premium and Performance package content, active NitroPlate quad-tip exhaust and unique exterior elements inspired by the 1968 Mustang featured in the Steve McQueen movie of the same name.
The modern Bullitt will arrive in showrooms this summer with a $47,495 price tag, around $12,000 above the basic GT.
