Ford recalls GT to fix hydraulic fluid leak, fire riskby Ben Hsu

Ford has issued a recall for the flagship GT to fix a fluid leak that can lead to a fire.
Hydraulic fluid can leak from valves below the rear wing, presumably involving the control system for the supercar's active aerodynamics. Failure can allow fluid to drip onto hot exhaust components.
"Ford is aware of one fire that occurred in Germany with no injuries," the company says. "Ford is not aware of any accidents or injuries as a result of this condition."
Engineers have developed a software fix that will prevent the control system from creating excess pressure in the valve block assembly.
The campaign affects the 2017-2018 model years including 176 vehicles sold in the US market.
