Ford shows new Territory crossover for China

The new model reportedly shares its platform with the LandWind X7, a Range Rover Evoque knockoff.

Ford has revealed the Territory, a new crossover that will be sold exclusively in China.

Interestingly, Ford issued an English press release in the US despite its focus on China and the vehicle's apparent roots as a rebadged Yusheng S330 manufactured by the Blue Oval's local manufacturing partner, Jiangling Motors Corporation.

Motor1 suggests the Yusheng S330 shares its platform with the LandWind X7, a controversial crossover that appears to be a blatant Range Rover Evoque knockoff and attracted a lawsuit from Land Rover in China.

The Territory will be available with three different powertrains, including a 48-volt mild hybrid and a plug-in hybrid alongside the basic gasoline edition with a 1.5-liter turbocharged mill.

The S330 is said to be priced around 80,000 Yuan (~$11,700 USD), but the Ford-badged variant will presumably command a premium.
