The ultimate S-Class is getting a makeover.
Mercedes-Maybach has unveiled an updated version of its S-Class sedan. The super-luxurious four-door made its world debut at the Geneva Motor Show.
Changes are relatively minor, but Mercedes-Maybach has tweaked the S-Class' appearance to make it look even more up-scale than before. Chief among those changes is a new radiator grille inspired by the Vision Mercedes-Maybach 6 that's designed to look like a pinstripe suit. Buyers can also opt for one of nine two-tone paint options for the new model year.
Another newly available paint option for 2019 is a double clear coat finish for dark color options that Maybach says "creates a brilliant surface finish with a piano lacquer effect and a special impression of depth." The second clear coat layer is applied and buffed by hand at the Maybach factory.
All 2019 Mercedes-Maybach S-Class models roll on a set of new-look 20-inch wheels. Three additional 20-inch wheel designs are also available.
Inside the new Maybach S-Class offers two new color combinations — Armagnac Brown/Black and Savanna Beige/Black. Buyers can further customize their interior with copper, gold and platinum contrast stitching.
The 2019 Maybach S-Class will come in two flavors in the United States — the all-wheel drive, V8-powered S 560 4MATIC and the V12-motivated S 650. Despite an overall length of 215 inches, both Maybach models are capable of scooting from 0-60 in under 5 seconds.
Pricing hasn't been announced, but the 2019 Mercedes-Maybach is scheduled to go on sale this summer.
