Germany's ADAC automobile club has released a crash test video for the Porsche 911 GT3 RS ... in miniature.Like official crash tests, the 1:8 scale LEGO Technic model was put on a test track and smashed against a wall. The 29-mph impact was documented in a slow-motion video.

The LEGO 911 GT3 RS is a perfect fit for a spectacular miniature collision. The kit includes more than 2,700 individual pieces including detailed brake calipers, an opening hood and red suspension springs. Many components move including an adjustable spoiler, steering wheel and even a working gearbox.

"The chassis of the car had no problems with the high speed, and there was very little damage to the pieces on impact," said ADAC crash test head Johannes Heilmaier. "It was almost exclusively the click connections between the components."

The 911 GT3 RS kit costs around $300. Other scale models in the Technic series include the Mercedes-Benz Arocs 3245 and BMW R 1200 GS Adventure, among other vehicles.
