The new 3500HD will be the third new Silverado to appear in just 18 months.
General Motors has revealed a teaser image for the 2020 Chevrolet Silverado 3500HD.
The company unveiled the 2019 Silverado 1500 in January, introducing lightweight materials to shed up to 450 pounds from the outgoing model. The light-duty truck was followed by the 2019 4500/5500/6500HD chassis-cab variants, introduced in March for commercial customers.
The new 3500HD will presumably follow the 1500's focus on lightweight construction and mesh with its overall styling.
"On-road testing of the new Silverado HD prototypes will begin in the near future to reach Chevrolet's increased durability and validation standards, and the bolder, larger proportions of the truck will be instantly apparent," the company says.
More information will be announced next year, with the first production models scheduled for the third quarter of 2019.
