Old Man Winter doesn't stand a chance.

GMC has unveiled a new concept truck designed to conquer extreme winter conditions. Known as the 2018 GMC Sierra 2500HD All Mountain concept, the truck will be put on display in Vail, Colorado for the winter season.

The concept is based on the production GMC Sierra 2500HD Denali 4WD Crew Cab, but boasts several key upgrades. Most notable is a set of tank-like tracks from Mattracks that help the All Mountain cruise up any snowy mountain slope. Other unique features include bodyside graphics, underbody LED lighting, a Kicker sound system and a 30-inch light bar. Power is provided by a 6.6L Duramax diesel engine rated at 445 horsepower and 910 lb-ft of torque.

"With GMC's focus on premium capability and design, we wanted to ensure that this concept took these signature attributes to an entirely new level," said Carl Zipfel, GMC exterior designer. "The Sierra All Mountain concept Mattracks technology enables the truck to conquer uncharted territory while highlighting premium interior features such as Bose speakers and upscale leather treatments."

GMC will display a similar concept truck based on the Sierra 2500HD All Terrain X at the 2017 Los Angeles auto show.
