America's answer to the Mercedes-AMG G63 costs just $295,000.Hennessey has taken its Ford F-150 VelociRaptor customizations to a whole new level with a new 6x6 configuration. The four-door pickup adds two extra 20-inch wheels on a second rear axle, with upgraded Fox suspension and off-road tires. LED lights help spot approaching danger at speed, while a rollbar helps protect occupants once they launch over the limit in six-wheel style.
Engineers have also created a VelociRaptor 600 twin-turbo upgrade for the 6x6 and lesser four-wheeled configurations. The tuning kit adds two new turbochargers, stainless exhaust, upgraded intercooler and a retuned factory computer, combining to more than 600 horsepower.
"Other optional upgrades include: Brembo front & rear brake upgrade, larger wheels and tires, LED lighting upgrades, bespoke interiors, electronic upgrades and armoring systems will also available," the company says.
The VelociRaptor 6x6 costs just $295,000, which seems a bit steep for two extra wheels but actually undercuts the Mercedes-AMG G63 by a few hundred thousand dollars.
