Honda will introduce four new robots at CES.
Honda will use the upcoming Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas to unveil its latest 3E (which stands for Empower, Experience and Empathy) Robotics Concept.
The 3E Robotics Concept actually consists of four different robots designed for varying tasks. They include the 3E-A18, 3E-B18, 3E-C18 and 3E-D18.
Honda didn't go into great detail, but the company says the 3E-A18 was designed as a companion robot that can display a number of different facial expressions. The 3E-B18 is a chair-like mobility device that can be used both indoors and out. The 3E-C18 takes the form of a small mobility device designed with a multi-function cargo space. Finally, the 3E-D18 is essentially an autonomous ATV that could be useful for delivering supplies over rough terrain.
"Expressing a variety of functions and designs, the advanced robotic concepts demonstrate Honda's vision of a society where robotics and AI can assist people in many situations, such as disaster recovery, recreation and learning from human interaction to become more helpful and empathetic," the company said in a prepared statement.
Honda will unveil its 3E Robotics Concept on January 9.
