The redesigned crossover will make its first public appearance in Los Angeles.

Infiniti has released a teaser image for an "all-new model" that will bow in Los Angeles, matching previous spy shots of the next-generation QX50.

The darkened photo focuses on a new headlight design with multiple LED projectors.

"With this all-new model, inspiration comes from striking the perfect balance between lust and logic," says Infiniti design boss Alfonso Albaisa. "At a glance, seamless and sculptural, getting closer to the car reveals an ingenious blend of proportion and space."

Unconfirmed reports suggest the new QX50 could be the first model to be powered by Infiniti's innovative variable-compression engine, a fuel-sipping turbocharged four-cylinder mill with V6-rivaling power.

Full details will be announced at a November 28 press conference.
