Lexus may be preparing to launch an LS F.
Lexus has been slowly bolstering its line of high-performance F models — which started with the IS and grew to include the GS sedan and RC coupe — and it looks as though that steady rollout might soon see the company's flagship sedan with an F-variant.
An image posted to Instagram by user jzsinternational reportedly shows Lexus' new LS sedan in high-performance F form. The image looks as though it was taken from a Japanese car magazine.
Although Lexus has declined to talk about the existence of an LS F (we asked at the recent press introduction of the standard LS) the blue car pictured looks pretty legitimate. It features a more aggressive-looking front end, performance wheels and tires, and blacked-out accents.
According to the poster, the LS F will use a new twin-turbocharged 4.0L V8 for motivation. That mill could deliver up to 600 horsepower, which would match the output of the Mercedes-AMG S 63.
We shouldn't have to wait long to see if the Lexus LS F will come to fruition as it's tipped to debut at the Tokyo Motor Show later this year. Stay tuned.
