"A new storm is coming," the company says.
Maserati has released a pair of teaser images for a Levante unveiling in New York.
Recent spy shots suggest the darkened images could be the Levante GTS, a new performance-focused flagship that was spotted undergoing testing in Europe.
The GTS is believed to be powered by a Ferrari-designed 3.8-liter twin-turbocharged V8, the same mill that powers the Quattroporte GTS.
If specs match both models, the SUV should be good for at least 530 horsepower. Rumors suggest the higher-riding model will get a bit more oomph, however, perhaps reaching 570 horsepower.
Maserati is also expected to reveal a mid-cycle update to the standard Levante sometime later this year.
