Illuminated strands of light apparently supplant traditional bulbs and LEDs.

Mercedes-Benz has released another teaser for the upcoming EQ A concept, scheduled to be fully revealed in Frankfurt.

The brief segment focuses on the car's front and rear lighting, apparently employing numerous thin illuminated OLED strands instead of traditional bulbs or LEDs.

The concept is the second model to be presented under Mercedes-Benz' new EQ sub-brand, reserved for electric vehicles with a focus on advanced autonomous capabilities.

The EQ A is expected to be smaller than the Generation EQ concept, reportedly previewing an electric hatchback that could be positioned as a BMW i3 rival.
