2019 Mercedes-Benz A-Class to start at $33,495

The new baby Benz will go on sale early this year.

Mercedes-Benz announced Tuesday that its new A 220 sedan will start at $33,495 ($32,500 plus $995 for delivery). The all-wheel-drive A 220 4 Matic will set customers back an additional $2,000.

The new A-Class brings a significantly updated interior with an available dual display (cluster and infotainment control) and the all-new MBUX (Mercedes-Benz User Experience) interface, which offers natural language and keyword activation ("Hello, Mercedes") a la systems such as Google Home and Amazon Echo.

A turbocharged, two-liter engine is standard and offers 188 horsepower and 221 lb-ft of torque.

The 2019 A-Class sedan will go on sale early in 2019.
