One of the expected facelifts, the Cooper Convertible, achieved the fastest growth of any MINI model in 2017.
MINI is reportedly preparing mid-cycle updates for several models, with three debuts scheduled for Detroit.
The forthcoming debuts will include a revised Cooper Convertible along with updates to the company's three- and five-door Hardtop models, according to Automotive News.
The trio is said to have received modest styling tweaks and improved technology.
The three-door Cooper Hardtop achieved relatively flat sales in 2017, with overall deliveries second only to the Countryman. Interestingly, the convertible achieved an even stronger growth rate than the Countryman, despite a broad falloff in demand for drop-top vehicles.
