The latest upgrade centers around a new turbocharger for Ford's 1.6-liter EcoBoost engine.

Mountune has detailed a new, more powerful tuning upgrade for the Ford Fiesta ST.Building upon the company's previous kits, including the Ford-approved MR215 build, the MR265 adds a new hybrid turbocharger, high-flow rear intake plumbing and a larger intercooler.

The system squeezes an extra 64 horsepower from Ford's 1.6-liter EcoBoost engine, bringing flywheel output up to 261 ponies. Torque output jumps from 202 lb-ft to 273 lb-ft.

The UK tuner suggests the extra oomph can help launch the diminutive hatchback to 60 mph in 5.7 seconds, more than a second quicker than the stock edition.

The company's modular approach reuses many of the components already included in its MR215 and MR230 kits, aside from the intercooler used in the latter. MR230 owners can run the new turbo with their existing intercooler, but with slightly lower peak output.

It is unclear if Mountune plans to launch a variant of the MR265 kit in the US market.
