Could this be an early look at the next QX70?

Update: Infiniti wrote to tell us the concept previews the next-generation QX50.

Infiniti has announced plans to introduce a brand-new concept car later this month at the Los Angeles Auto Show.

The company's teaser image consists of three brush strokes on a beige background; your guess is as good as ours when it comes to what we're looking at, though. To us, it looks like a car with pronounced front fenders and a relatively long roof line, which suggests it's not a coupe. We can't imagine Infiniti jumping head-first into the shooting brake segment, so the concept could provide us with an early look at the next-generation QX70.

The concept is billed as "the most advanced Infiniti in our history," which could mean anything. It's safe to bet the concept uses some form of electrification, is equipped with autonomous driving technology, or both. Parent company Nissan is an outspoken proponent of electric autonomous cars, so seeing Infiniti adopt the same rhetoric would make sense.

We'll learn more details about Infiniti's enigmatic concept car when it's unveiled at 4:30 pm on Tuesday, November 28, at a private event held in Hawthorne, California. It's not too far-fetched to speculate Infiniti will release additional teaser images in the coming weeks.
