The GT3 RS has shed even more weight via carbon fiber bodywork and suspension components, with magnesium wheels available as a $13,000 option.
The 'basic' GT3 RS already employs plenty of carbon fiber components and a magnesium roof to keep weight down, helping the coupe launch to 60 mph in three seconds flat.
Porsche engineers have succeeded in further whittling down the curb weight. Following a familiar formula, the Weissach edition switches to carbon fiber for the roof, suspension components, hood, side mirrors and even the shift paddles.
For buyers interested in another slight reduction of around 25 pounds, magnesium wheels are available as a $13,000 upgrade atop the Weissach Package's $18,000 premium. Opting for both elevates the total sticker price to more than $218,000.
