The coupe brings a black-on-black design and an upgraded list of standard equipment.

Porsche has expanded its Black Edition lineup to include a special variant of the Cayman.

Taking inspiration from the Black Edition 911 and Boxster, the new Cayman features a black-on-black color scheme with a choice between standard black or Jet Black Metallic exterior paint.

The package is distinguished by 20-inch Carrera Classic wheels, upgraded Porsche Dynamic Light System headlights and Black Edition logos. Inside, drivers are treated to a Sport Design steering wheel, heated seats, two-zone climate control, an upgraded sound system and park assist technology.

The enhancements do not extend under the hood; the Black Edition is powered by the Cayman's standard 2.7-liter flat six with 275 horsepower and 213 lb-ft of torque. Buyers can presumably choose between a six-speed manual gearbox or a seven-speed PDK dual-clutch transmission.

The darkened Cayman is scheduled to arrive in showrooms by January 2016, each carrying a $60,195 price tag (including $995 freight).
