Spied: Porsche Taycan Sport Turismo

Porsche will be giving the all-electric Taycan the Sport Turismo treatment.

A new round of spy photos has confirmed that Porsche is planning a production version of its Mission E Cross Turismo concept car.

The Mission E Cross Turismo debuted earlier this year at the Geneva Motor Show, and almost immediately rumors began to circulate that Porsche was planning to put the concept into production. Those reports are rumors no more as the production version of the electric hatchback has been spotted undergoing shakedown testing.

With Porsche opting for the Taycan nameplate for the production Mission E sedan, the E Cross Turismo will like be branded as the Taycan Sport Turismo for production. But its name isn't the only thing that's changing. Whereas the Mission E Cross Sport was a high-riding soft-roader along the lines of the Audi allroad, it appears as though the Taycan Sport Turismo will be a road-focused vehicle like the similarly styled Panamera Sport Turismo.

The Taycan Sport Turismo is expected to be available in three different trim levels, with output ranging from 400 to 600 horsepower. Porsche is currently focused on ramping up production of the Taycan sedan, so we might not see the Taycan Sport Turismo until the 2021 model year.
