Ram is taking the pickup truck to new heights.

Ram is hoping to corner the high-end pickup truck market with a new Tungsten Edition package for its 1500, 2500 and 3500 truck models.

The new Tungsten Edition is based on Ram's top-shelf Limited model. To that already premium trim level the Tungsten Edition adds a Light Greystone suede headliner and "ultra-premium" leather that covers the truck's seats, instrument panel, steering wheel, center arm rest and doors. The luxury truck also gets real wood accent and a Frost and Indigo interior color scheme. Other standard features include navigation, heated steering wheel, heated and cooled front seats, heated rear seats and the RamBox storage system.

The exterior of the truck has been spruced with a Tungsten Chrome grille featuring oversized Ram lettering. Ram 1500 model receive a sport hood while all models get body-colored mirrors, bumpers, door handles and running boards. The package also includes headlights with black accents, body-colors R-A-M letters on the tailgate and satin-painted wheels.

"The Limited Tungsten Edition is the highest trim level Ram has made available," said Mike Manley, Head of Ram Brand, FCA - Global. "The new Tungsten Edition is an example of how Ram directly responds to customer input by offering the industry's most luxurious pickup. Premium truck buyers will recognize the attention to detail, surrounded by quality materials."

The Ram Limited Tungsten trim will arrive on dealer lots this fall. Buyers will be able to choose between eight exterior colors — Bright Silver Metallic, Bright White, Brilliant Black Crystal, Delmonico Red Pearl, Granite Crystal Metallic, Maximum Steel Metallic (1500 only), Pearl White and True Blue Pearl. Prices for the Ram Limited Tungsten 1500 will start from $55,120; prices for the heavy-duty models have not been announced.
