Finnish startup RMK has revealed a new electric motorcycle, the E2, that it intends to bring to production.
The E2 is claimed to have an impressive range of up to 186 miles on a single charge, while a less expensive model integrates a smaller battery good for 124 miles.
The aluminum-frame motorcycle integrates a unique ring motor for the rear wheel, driving the wheel directly and eliminating the need for a traditional hub, gearing, chain or other hardware.
The motor boasts a peak output of 67 horsepower and 236 pound-feet of torque, with top speed limited to 99 mph.
The company expects the first drivable prototypes to be revealed later this year. If the startup fulfills its production ambitions, the bike will sell for more than $29,000 USD.
