The New York International Auto Show will also host the redesigned Toyota Rav4 and several other new crossovers.
Subaru has confirmed plans to reveal the all-new Forester at the New York International Auto Show.
A single teaser image does not reveal much beyond a new elliptical taillight that extends onto the liftgate, blending styling elements from the company's latest cars and the larger Ascent SUV.
The new Forester will be underpinned by the flexible Subaru Global Platform, shared with the fifth-generation Impreza. In the lower-slung models, the architecture is more rigid and brings an increase in legroom for front- and rear-seat occupants.
The current fourth-generation Forester has been in production since 2012. It is one of the company's best-selling models, but sales stagnated in 2017 and dropped by 12 percent in the first two months of 2018 despite strong growth in the broader segment.
More details could slip ahead of Subaru's March 28 media event.
